Jet-Tech PRO v17.5 with Air-Lab©

The latest version of Jet-Tech PRO launches today! This latest version of the ultimate carburettor and kart setup software includes another unique feature - Jet-Tech Air-Lab©.

Jet-Tech Air Lab© gives you an insight into just some of the internal calculations used by the Jet-Tech Dynamic Simulation Model© to precisely maintain optimum jetting for all versions of Jet-Tech software.

Jet-Tech Air-Lab© has been developed to bridge the gap between the old, traditional approach to engine tuning which in the past was based on tuning indicators such as Density Altitude and, often inaccurate, Relative Air Density (RAD) Gauges and the modern computer based approach which fully utilises powerful advanced carburettor simulation software such as Jet-Tech PRO.

Air-Lab© will calculate the atmospheric data collected from the weather data entered on either the Dellorto or Diaphragm carburettor jetting screens within Jet-Tech PRO.

Jet-Tech at International Kart Show - Offenbach

Jet-Tech products will feature on the M-Tec Kart stand at the International Kart Show at Offenbach near Frankfurt, Germany on 24th-25th January. Demonstrations of all the latest Jet-Tech software products will be available in German and English. M-Tec Kart are a Jet-Tech Authorised Partner covering Germany, Austria and Switzerland and a major force in European Karting winning the German national Rotax championships in 2008 with their own M-Tec chassis (http://www.mteckart.de).  The International Kart Show at Offenbach is the largest Karting Exhibition in the World. Jet-Tech at Manchester & Buxton Kart Club

John Savage - author of Jet-Tech software - will be giving a presentation on the theory of carburettor jetting and the practical application of Jet-Tech software at Manchester and Buxton Kart Club (Three Sisters Circuit) on 24th January 2009. Jet-Tech RoK 2009 with Dellorto Variable Jet Kit

The latest development of Jet-Tech RoK includes some major new features. The 2009 version of Jet-Tech RoK is the only software available that supports the Dellorto Variable Jet Kit. This is the kit available for the 2009 season, announced by Vortex in December 2008 - Dellorto Part Number: R.9305. From the main configuration screen users can select this option if required.

Why do you need Jet-Tech RoK when using the variable jet kit? SAVE YOUR ENGINE!

The range of the Dellorto main jets when used with the variable jet is dramatic - from the equivalent of a 140 to a 190 main jet! In some instances a 1/4 turn can mean the difference between a main jet equivalent from 170 to 160. So accuracy is critical in ensuring that you not only maintain peak performance of your engine but also to eliminate the risk of seizing your engine. Only Jet-Tech RoK with this unique and copyright feature can give you the correct settings and parameters to safely configure your carburettor. 

Jet-Tech RoK now includes multi-language options. Users can now select their language option by simply clicking on the national flag. Languages supported include English, German, French and Italian.

Price and distribution changes for 2009

We're all aware of the issues around the global economy and although (unlike many others in our industry) we've been able to maintain the same pricing of our products for the last 4 years, we have experienced a significant increase in costs over that time - even more so over the last 6 months. As a result we have had no alternative but to look at how we can maintain our investment in continued development and support, but try and keep a price point for our products that represents excellent value for what we provide.

The 'easy' answer would be to put our prices up to a level that still represented good value but gave us the contribution we need to sustain the levels of development and support, cover the cost increases we have had and maintain our margins. Realistically that would mean an increase of up to 50% on some products!!

Good News!!

What we have done however, is look at our business carefully to see where we can reduce costs to lessen the impact on pricing. As a result we will be changing our distribution model. We are aware that almost all software companies provide their products either pre-installed (Microsoft Windows for example) and/or provide a download facility. This removes the cost of producing CD's, packaging and shipping costs. In line with the rest of the industry, this is now the model that we will adopt. Customers can still purchase a 'media' kit if they wish but this will be at a cost similar to others in the software industry. By adopting this model, we have been able to limit price increases to a nominal amount. For example: Jet-Tech PRO was £129.00 +p&p. So the total cost of Jet-Tech PRO was between £133.99 and £136.99 depending on location for shipping. The new price will be £137.00. This is a maximum increase of just £3.01.

New Product - the Jet-Tech I-Temp

The Jet-Tech I-TEMP is an easy to use, non-contact infrared thermometer with a laser point to accurately aim at the target. Just aim, press the trigger and read the target surface temperature in less than a second! Jet-Tech around the World

We now have customers in over 60 countries around the world and Jet-Tech software is firmly established as the world's number 1. The website has overtaken the million-hits-a-year mark with a monthly average of 102,000 hits at the moment and rising! We're adding new customers every day of the week and over the next few months, new Authorised Partners to service local markets. In conjunction with our partners in Germany and France, we are also working on multi-lingual versions of Jet-Tech software.
